Event Description

2018-04-21 14:00:00 2018-04-21 16:00:00 Australia/Brisbane OXYGEN, BEER & EVERYTHING ELSE OXYGEN, BEER & EVERYTHING ELSE Beer Garden Brewing SALT Festival [email protected]

‘Oxygen, beer and everything else’ is a laid-back event, quite literally! Visitors will be greeted with a suspended and intricately painted 25 meter long art canvas. Since Beer Garden Brewery opened the exposed timber roof has been turning heads in admiration of aged timber and carpentry skills.

A large leafy-green and bird filled painted ‘tree canopy’ will adorned the roof space during the SALT Festival, drawing art lovers attention to the plants that grow, largely unnoticed, quietly providing oxygen for us here on the Eyre Peninsula. As essential to human existence as salt, the focus on oxygen highlights three important woodlands found on southern Eyre Peninsula.

The artist wishes to entice viewers to reopen childlike memories of laying under old trees and looking skyward. The artworks gives off dream like qualities – of sunshine peeking through the leaves, an abundance of colourful bird life and for the very observant cryptic wildlife can be seen slowly emerging from branch and hollows.

This ephemeral art work can only be seen in full for the duration of the 2018 SALT Festival. Throughout the event art buyers and investors can purchase sections of the canvas for individual sale. More details will be provided at the event.
